My 97 year old ex-neighbor told me when she was a kid, circa 1935ish, there was a kid that used to walk the sidewalk through her neighborhood singing "I hate niggers and I hate jews , If you don't like it, then I hate you!" or something very close to that. My neighbor had no idea what he was talking about, she had never heard of blacks being called niggers (she had seen very few blacks) and she had never seen a jew - or was aware of it at that point in her life. This was in Scranton or an abutting suburb. IIRC.
