As always the demon wears the masks of popularity and righteousness. He phrases things by saying "we" as if everyone agrees with him while claiming what he does is good and just. At the same time he condemns the truly righteous as evil and satanic. In this manner he hopes to make the sheep blindly follow him without thinking of what they are agreeing to, and as more and more sheep do so this works better and better, for a sheep wants nothing more than to quietly follow the leader without having to stand up and fight. In this manner the demon will always win the day when good men do nothing.
