Hello!

I've been really busy, but I'm enjoying how this series has been going. We're going to mix it up a little bit, but that's because I've been super busy.

Try for two paragraphs, but it's okay if you can't.

Tell me something I don't know about the tanks used in the African campaign. I don't care if it's about Allied or Axis tanks. Tell me something obscure and interesting.

Immortality is impossible. Entropy is a bitch. That whole second law of thermodynamics isn't just a good idea - it's the law.

I should probably cook some dinner soon. I started the grill and I think I'm going to do burgers and steaks while the ladies do smashed potato and coleslaw.

I lack the time, or I'd tell you the story about Cole and how he deduced the perfect ingredients for a summer cookout side and how it became the law. It's why we have Cole's Law today!

I crack me up!

I look forward to someday hearing about cole's law. However I have to disagree on the mortality thing. Every organ in our body gets replaced almost entirely every so often the shortening of our telomeres is a big part of the reason we age. I would say biological immortality may not be possible but technological immortality may be possible. I should go get dinner myself. There is this farm to table restaurant near by and my wife has been avoiding grocery shopping due to the fact that we should in theory be moving next week. So I think we will head out there for dinner. When I come out to Maine, which should be soon. I will help man the grill or least learn how to properly man a grill, I have done it a few times and about the only thing I can get right is barbecue chicken. I've tried steaks many times and they either end up over done or under cooked. Its an art form for sure. Anyway its been fun but it sounds like we are both off to dinner. At this point I think I can say I'll talk to you later friend, and coming from me thats a deal as I haven't had a friend in years.

The universe is expanding. Energy moves from a higher state to a lower state. Eventually, not even any matter will be close enough to exchange electrons and protons. The steady-state hypothesis is soundly defeated and entropy is as much a function of the universe as is energy or gravity.

Thus, immortality can't happen - unless you involve things for which we have no evidence. You can do that, but I won't agree. There is no eternity in a universe that's expanding. All things will cease to have matter close enough to exchange energy. The universe will grow dark and cold. It will suffer a heat death - something I'd not like to experience.

After that, we're not sure. It may rip, collapse, or just keep expanding - but, as such, nothing will remain close enough to exchange energy, rending life impossible by any definition, including a technical means.

'Snot my fault. It's just what the universe does. It's not just a good idea, it's the law. It's even the second law in thermodynamics.

If you want to see it, put dots on a balloon and then blow it up. Eventually, those dots all get further and further from each other. That's what an ever-expanding universe does.

Well I suppose in the case of immortality we were imagining different things, I don’t deny eventually the heat death of the universe will happen. I more was implying the possibility or biological or technological immortality, I believe those may be possible but short of some amazing technology or un explored law of physics, the heat death of the universe is inevitable.

My guess is that the universe is a bubble and at some point it will pop and there will be a new Big Bang or big bangs, but that is just that purely a guess.
