Never regret that.
I used to do work with Artificial Intelligence. The LAST jobs that will be automated will be the high skilled blue collar jobs like electrician, plumbing, etc. It's too hard to do those things.
And why should you be embarrassed to make (usually) 90K a year? That's a decent income. And some electricians I know make comfortably over $100K a year.
I have 5 degrees. Yes, five. I got them because one of my employers required us to "use it or lose it" so I went to college for 7.5 years and busted out degree after degree (if you go to the same uni, after the first degree, the next ones take a year because most of the credits carry over - little known fact for some of you but if you've gone to college for a bit, check other degree programs to see how far along in other degrees you are - you may just be 2-6 classes away from another degree or a double major). Only 2 of them were (past tense) useful. It was just to get my foot in the door. The real qualifications are the certifications I got.
