Student loans is what caused College prices to get out of control. Our grandparents could go to college and work part time and pay for it.

And guess what the colleges are gonna do if this debt is forgiven

Student loans are fine as long as they are not underwritten by the government. If banks had to assume risk for the loans, STEM majors would get them and lesbian film studies majors would not.

Nah. The actual problem is (((usury))) and (((liberal arts))) programs. Look at a college's GER (Gen. Ed. Req.) courses. The vast majority are in the liberal arts school. Those schools would get virtually no enrollment if not for these GER courses. Narrow GERs doesn to things that are actually necessary, like basic math, basic writing, modern history etc. And let the lib arts schools suffer and die off. This (these two) would eliminate a significant portion of the cost of college itself.

Allow student loans to be discharged in bankruptcy.
