Toothpicks are generally made from birch trees, and birch trees are deciduous trees which have trunks, and evergreen trees have trunks. Lynchers often chewed toothpicks while lynching spooks, so evergreens are in fact connected with lynchings. Case closed, evergreen trees are racist.
