I dont want to brag but I ve been a straight A student my whole life.

I finished top of my class, every time, I got two master's degrees, a certification in accounting, MBA... I am not smart or anything. Just work hard occasionally.

Especially in my Master's courses, I was asked to resubmit stuff. Assignments etc...

The feedback was always utter shit and inadequate and every single time I had to resubmit the same assignment with 0.001% changes...but only after pretending to hold meeting with tutors where we discussed shit.

You know...that thing you do where words come out of your mouth and agree and complete in each other's sentences and use "smart" lingo that everyone knows means shit?

Well....

I ve studied with students that could barely say good morning in English yet we all pretended that these students ...handed over assignments...and even dissertations? FUCKING NO WAY lol!!!

People get mad at you when you say that you "aren't that smart" then solidly and consistently outperform them in every mental task.

You already know how I know this, same way as you.

brag more. o7 they got it comin.

Let us consider the possible natural origins of the dislike for braggarts. Are they victors or slaves typically? What does one gain from the disliking or if nothing is gained, from what revelation does it protect the hater? Furthermore why is it sometimes so difficult and socially mandatory to 'not brag'.

There is controversy over who wrote this, but I like it a lot:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness

That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small

Does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking

So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,

As children do.

We were born to make manifest

The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;

It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we're liberated from our own fear,

Our presence automatically liberates others.

(for the record when this was written, I'm pretty sure fabulous just meant "really good" and was not indicative of a desire to mutilate oneself)
