A really good close friend of mine has subsequently become a somewhat senior leader of the LAUSD union. I just can't talk to him anymore. I honestly don't know if he has bought into this whole schpiel or drank the cool-aid, but how could he not have? And he stopped returning my calls, so I guess that kind of maybe verifies my fears, even if I have not tried in the past few years. It sucks, he was a cool guy.
