But it's for politically correct reasons. From the story:

>A growing number of 'woke' academics are refusing to teach Shakespeare in U.S. schools, arguing that the Bard promotes racism, white supremacy and intolerance, and instead are pushing for the teaching of 'modern' alternatives.

>Writing in the January issue of School Library Journal, Amanda MacGregor, a Minnesota-based librarian, bookseller and freelance journalist, asked why teachers were continuing to include Shakespeare in their classrooms.

>'Shakespeare's works are full of problematic, outdated ideas, with plenty of misogyny, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism and misogynoir,' she wrote, with the last word referring to a hatred of black women.

>She contended that an increasing number of educators are 'coming to the conclusion that it's time for Shakespeare to be set aside and deemphasized to make room for modern, diverse and inclusive voices.'

Yet these "Inclusive voices" won't be inclusive of Shakespeare. Inclusivity is one of the big lies of the 21st century.

As they themselves can't read or understand Shakespeare this makes perfect sense. Don't worry, a much better lesson plan that only requires approved feelings about the selected subject will replace it.

But aren't (((they))) revising history to say that Shakespeare was actually black? How dare they refuse to teach children about the greatest black playwright of all time? That's racist.

Inclusivity is one of the big lies of the 21st century.

It's all inversion, all of it... communism is literally newspeak.
