I actually remember a little bit about being 4. I remember the old truck my father had parked in the backyard, that yard that seemed miles long. I remember the sandbox I had, and the girl that lived next door who was a literal wild child who whipped her shorts down one day and pissed on the sandbox frame. Didn't even think about what she was doing it with, didn't care. I remember being totally unconcerned that there wasn't a penis there, I don't even remember being concerned that she was pissing in the yard. It was just something that happened that day, like the ice cream truck that ran up the back alley or things we did on those summer days that lasted for months.
