Anyhow, are you familiar with Bertrand Russell? Well, he set about to prove that 1 + 1 = 2.
Some 162 pages later, using the most convoluted methods possible, he was able to mathematically prove it - but was still stuck with the dilemma of actually providing some sort of logically consistent proof.
In much fewer words, it gets summed up as, "It's logic all the way down." It's kinda horrible when I stop and think about it.
