People that would be on UBI would find other programs to abuse while also picking up cash-only work on the side so they don't really pay taxes either.

I bet if I put my mind to it I could make around what I make now between government programs, cash-only work and maybe one casual "consulting" job that would keep me so low in the tax bracket I wouldn't pay taxes but would still make what I make today.

But you know what? I'm not a leach on society and have more self respect to do that so nope.

Prices of everything would overnight adjust. Things would still be "unaffordable" for people as the price keepers now know the mix/max they can charge. People like us that would keep working would suffer the most weather or not we had the USI (Universal Slavery Income) payments.

When people got their first covid checks I thought it was hilarious that WalMart all of a sudden had pallets of big screen TV's that gasp cost about what the "free check" from the government gave you.
