If there are 480,000 manufacturing jobs available, why aren’t people filling them?

We do need to get vocational training back in high schools that would help for sure.
It shocks me that they got rid of it in the first place. I felt like "shop class" or "auto class" was like taking a break from the rest of the bullshit. You also learned about building things, using tools, etc. I still have and use a wood clipboard I made in wood shop over like 20+ years ago.
The amount of young men that couldn't change the cord on a lamp or sparkplug is alarming.
