I don't think I've been to a TGI Fridays in at least 20 years at this point. I don't go to places like that at all anymore and didn't realize they even still existed. I wonder if "underperforming locations" is the usual coded language for crime/niggers.

It's probably been a good 20 years for me as well. Just no reason to go to a reheat restaurant when there's lots of other options.

Cook at home. I like to sous vide some steak and finish it in the pan with butter. It takes very little prep time and the outcome is awesome.

Someone posted a sous vide asparagus recipe on here that we tweaked a little and its a regular thing in our house now.

We also have a amazing local butcher and the cost and quality is far better than any local store so we buy from them as often as possible.

I don't eat out much except when I have a guest. The rest of the time I just make stuff. It's cheaper.

I haven't been to a TGIF since 2006. Damn fucking shame too. Their Jack Daniels menu was the fucking shit. Used to be my first date spot. Even if the girl was shit, as least I knew I'd be getting a good meal. Damn shame.

I kinda forgot all about TGI Fridays. I can't remember the last time I set foot in one. I just looked it up and there's still a few around me, not that I would go. Anyhow.

I don't think "underperforming locations" is necessarily coded language for crime & niggers. There used to be one near me that closed down several years ago and it was in a much Whiter part of town. I think it's more a sign of the times that these style of restaurants simply no longer appeal to most casual diners.
