I've always felt Michelins were the best tires in the world, but too damn expensive as of the past 5-10 years. Nexen and others are nearly as good at half the price.
Never heard of Nexen, just the US? I feel the same about Michelins.

So far I order them online and have them mounted locally. Usually save ~$20 per tire that way over local pricing.
Thanks, I'll need all seasons next spring, so I'll look into these. I have good ice radials for winter but these Hankook tires that came with my truck wear out fast and pull my truck around in ruts.
Figuring cost-per-mile, Michelins aren't more expensive. They might be cheaper. I had a set on an Outback that were not completely worn out at 80,000+miles when I replaced them.
I had a GMC 2500HD Crew Cab diesel truck that came with BF Goodrich tires. They lasted about 25K miles. I put a set of Michelins on it and got 70K+ miles out of them under similar operating conditions. Since then I've tried Nexen tires on my latest version of that truck, only at about 20K milrs now but they still look nearly new. Ride quality, traction, noise seem virtually identical, at half the price.
