I could get more for my low mileage truck then I paid for it 3.5 years ago. Then I'd be walking because there's nothing to buy, lots are empty, ordering new could take forever. It's ridiculous.

I've been flipping cars. Putting in the extra hours sucks but it's worth it. Buy a car that's busted for $500-$1,000, put in $500-$2,000 for parts + my own labor, sell for $10,000+.

I'm about to sell a 2nd Gen CRV with 200,000 miles on it and a rebuilt engine. Rings, bearings, gaskets, and fluids were under $500. Which is what I payed for it. Gonna post on Craigslist for $10,000. Should be gone in a couple days.

Who the fuck pays $10,000, or more for a vehicle with 200,000 miles or more on it?

Current market dude

Edit: factors include freshly rebuilt engine and location. Car prices vary wildly depending on where you are buying.

My son's friend does that, blows my mind what's he's gotten for junk.

I always detail them and make it as fresh as possible. Often I'm surprised with the results. I show pictures of all the issues with the car that I know. And the bigger issues that I fixed to keep it out of the crusher. I'm not a used car dealer. I'm a refurbished car guy. There's a difference.

Edit: keep it on the road

I don't feel guilty ever though. I just rebuilt that engine. Now pay me, thank you. Trans might take a shit but my work is solid. I'm trying to make profits but there is no snakey shit.
