These past few days, in cash transactions, I’ve been handed many filthy, decrepit and torn bills that should be removed from circulation. More than I can remember receiving in a short period of time. Perhaps anecdotal evidence of the money supply increasing digitally, but with no physical printing of bills.

Oddly enough, I pulled a number of fresh $20 dollar bills with sequential serial numbers from an ATM about a week ago.
