Well, you get the kids' grandparents and friends to move and I'll do it.
Go visit their grandparents on holidays, and kids can always make new friends. As long as you don't continuously move it wont be damaging them. Find nice houses in your new state and keep showing your parents, say they should retire somewhere nice. Plus they'll be more likely to move to you and your kids once you actually do move out.
I mean you must understand why i'm worried about you living in California?
I know why. I hate this place so fucking bad it causes health issues. Trust me.
On the other hand, there aren't a lot of places that aren't already drowning in spics or well on their way. Even Idaho is fucked in that regard. And I'm still trying to find somewhere with a similar median income to median home price ratio. Texas is far less affordable than California when you compare house prices to what jobs are paying.
You could still move to the North Midwest if you want Germanics not Hispanics. (Obviously spics are everywhere but still its whiter)
I wouldn't live in Cali just because of the high chance of being smited by God for living near San Francisco.
Wouldn't selling your expensive California home make it easier to afford a house elsewhere?
