If it makes you feel better, that job in most of Canada pays 40-45k CAD. Thats 31-35k USD! Thats how much of a joke Canada is at this point.

I'm in the midwest. There are things like warehouse maintenance tech jobs that pay mid-20s. Moving to California to take the same wage would be insane when you can do it in Indiana.
