Yes. I didn't get a typical listing from that one, but I get many job contacts that have "Visa type" as a piece of information you need to supply. I immediately throw those out because they're not looking for a citizen.

Whenever someone tells me there's a labor shortage I ask them if they would be able to find anybody for $500 an hour. "Shit yeah!" they tell me. That's when I point out they don't have a labor shortage, they have a pricing problem.

Not entirely true. I live here on less than $100,000k and own my own house in a nice area, but you can't spend your money on stupid shit all the time, that's for sure. If you spend $1,000 a month getting Door Dash and Starbucks, and spend another $1,200 a year buying the latest iPhone, you probably ain't gonna be able to afford a house.

I know that Sperling's is a dollar-for-dollar comparison. I could live on a lot less than what I make as well, but moving to that kind of area and starting over with the proceeds of a midwestern home sale means I'm still going to be taking on a hefty mortgage.

The more prudent point is you can make the exact same wage where I am in the midwest, and I do. I can only believe that this company is looking for H1B instead of citizens.

Go visit their grandparents on holidays, and kids can always make new friends. As long as you don't continuously move it wont be damaging them. Find nice houses in your new state and keep showing your parents, say they should retire somewhere nice. Plus they'll be more likely to move to you and your kids once you actually do move out.

I'm in the midwest. There are things like warehouse maintenance tech jobs that pay mid-20s. Moving to California to take the same wage would be insane when you can do it in Indiana.

i used to date this girl who actually had a degree in “feminist dance movement therapy” from leslie or some other twat school in boston. she moves back to socal, and gets a $18/hr job in santa barbara working with homeless retards that live on the socal beaches for free while her slave wage couldn’t cover rent in an apartment an hour away inland. she could have bought a house in california for the money she blew on her batshit degree.

50k for this type of work is pretty fucking good if you’re not soldering shit that goes into space, TBH. it's not that hard. it's far more than i made as an engineering tech when I was 18 doing the same work, and, I'm not that fucking old. just a summer fucking around with pops building projects and shit, and an ansi soldering certification was a cakewalk for a job doing this shit.

Ithat said, I agree, advertisong this in Cali at these rates is suspect. they can find American workers if they wanted to at these rates, but there's no way to do it in California. fuck that place.
