During the pandemic, I admit I added fuel to the tipflation we're experiencing today. It was innocent, I thought. These businesses had a hard time and the service people also. I tipped a minimum of 20%. Fast forward to today, this is now a trend. I've had it. I will no longer pay 20%. 15% max. Consider the already inflated bills, 15% is fair enough.

Standard used to be 10% then over the years I saw it creep up to 15, 20, even asking for 25 on those touchscreen payment things now....like come on guys cool it with that you greedy fuckers.

20% is a standard White man tip.

Also,

These businesses had a hard time and the service people also...

tipping helps the server it has nothing to do with the business.

Indirectly, the business can pay their staff less. Besides, with normal bill inflation, the tip inflation is built in.

  1. A business has no way of knowing what a staff member makes in tips.

  2. You either have the empathy level of an non White or you never had to take a job in the service industry.

  3. You keep calling 20% "tip inflation", 20% has always been the standard for a server. (you seem to be ignoring this)
