I remember looking into who was holding what and when a ways back. Was doing research for something specific. Taken from JM Bullion's site:

"JP Morgan Silver COMEX Depository Around the same time silver bullion was hitting its near $50 high in late April 2011, JPMorgan began stockpiling silver bullion in its COMEX warehouse."

Broke, as in, lacking liquidity, sure... But some of these banks are holding massive stockpiles of other very relevant assets. Precious metals is just one of those assets. And this is only what's publicly known.

Just sharing something I read a ways back. Make of it what you will. Don't forget to use your imagination...

How much actual bullion are they holding tho and is it theirs ??

That's the question. I'm sure the answer is like anyone else, tho. The amount is always changing. This is just from a bland search, including this answer, cuz has date:

"JP Morgan now holds 133.1 million ounces of physical silver and the world record for most silver held under one name. Today, it also owns 50% of the world’s COMEX silver bullion.Jun 4, 2019”

Has any been sold, has more been added? Idk. Thinking we'd have to work there and be high enough in the food chain to get the real answer. Just like a lot of people think that Fort Knox's vaults are empty, either way, we'd have to be there to see for ourselves

Oik, cheers. So two things here - they 'hold' 133.1 million ounces and 'own' 50% of comex bullion - how much silver bullion does comex amount to ? comex bullion (zerohedge.com) - i wonder how they keep getting away with the same sleight of hand bull fckery everywhere .
