Well yeah, if they're over 50 why are they unemployed? It's like dating a single mom, what the hell did she do to get in that position in the first place?
Some over 50 got "moved to the door" as they got older.
But why? If they were so engaged, experienced, and productive why would a boss fire them?
Some companies don't like to keep older people. IBM has come under fire recently for such practices, and when I was applying for jobs a company called L3Harris had some reviews that mentioned older people being pushed out.
The other explanation is younger people are less set in their ways and are probably not going to demand an actual useful salary.
