If you want to close the wage gap, work harder. It has been my observation that women have a much easier time finding a job than men do, and that they get better jobs. I'm talking about the lower levels of the work force. There is always a place for a woman in an office or in a restaurant, but men often can't even get hired to wash dishes or take out the garbage. Women earn less overall, only because they work less hard, and for fewer hours.
