1. People, like me, spent a huge amount in the previous months to prepare for a total collapse of our currency.
2. People got fired for not complying with tyranny.
3. Store owners are making it difficult to patronize them due to their virtue signaling.
4. Engineered supply chain problems make buying difficult.
5. Retail can't hire enough personnel to service customers.

There are many reasons. I'm currently taking delivery of items that normally I'd wait until spring, but spring is a long time away and I can't trust the business will still be in business by then.
