Its more surprising that pharma and taco bell use the same strategy. My dad had explained that when one country adds price controls to a med, they simply increase the US pharma prices. But people are soo fucking stupid, they dont understand how this fucks everyone over by increasing the price evenly everywhere. Its the same with clothes, the biggers ones use more fabric, which really means the non fat fucks are subsidizing the fat fucks by paying more for less in a uniform pricing model

Yeah, the costs go up throughout the system to maintain a better looking price point. There are local differences, but it's interesting how (in a country the size of the USA at least) that prices for things like garbage fast food are very similar across the nation.

It helps when you have Papa Sam paying you to maintain the shitty system in place. If it wasnt for govt intervention at all levels of the supply chain, the problems would be way more apparent
