Exxon has merged with Mobil already. Also BP (merged with Amoco) is bringing the Amoco brand BACK. WHY?
Maybe Exxon will change it's name back to Esso (TIGERS in our tanks!) and that company with the dinosaur mascot will re-emerge. Is Shell still a thing?
