It does make sense depending on your goal. Increasing a minimum wage prices out all mom and pop shops, allowing only very wealthy companies or corrupt companies to afford labor. It also makes the company more picky, decreasing wages over all (funny how that works), whilst increasing prices, because hey, more people make more money right? We lived without a minimum wage for thousand of years, before it became yet another (((problem)))
