Well, you would probably live a lot longer on the hot end. The other side its like a jet powered wood chipper so you would be out in less than the time to realize "im fucked".
Exhaust gas temperatures range from 1200-3000°F depending on distance from the turbine and engine state. The high end of that range is an engine in burner at point blank range. The incineration would be quick regardless, but getting caught would be a challenge since the force would repelling.
Fun fact.. Jet engines came about in the 1940-50s.
