For those occasions, I have ice packs and a frozen 2-liter of water. I’ll sleep in front a fan while hugging one wrapped in a thin towel. Helps.

yah it's so hot inside my freezer ain't keeping things frozen lmao

Got up to 91F inside today

That's unbearable. Thoughts and prayers.

I lived in a deep south nigger zone most of my life. Hurricanes galore. But as long as I could find gas, the priority was using that gas and a generator to get the window unit going.

In the winter, you can get a window unit for cheap. Generators are still reasonably affordable. That combo is a life saver.

Your fridge sounds like a weakling. Is it old? May have lost some refrigerant.

Do yourself a favor: get a window AC as a stopgap measure. You'll sleep better, and humidity swings wont screw up your wood and ammo.

It got up to 91F inside today. Low humidity area so a portable evaporate cooler is en route. Already have the replacement compressor but about a week waiting list (small town).
