You can see the sweet and gentle nature of those dogs, and their friendship is real. My older dog is still mourning the death of her sister, and I’ve seen that before, where animals become depressed and never seem themselves again after a great loss.

Every dog we've had mourned the loss of a sibling to some extent. It's heartbreaking to see, on top of the heartbreak of the lost pet.
