She can see me the entire time, as I walk back to the house her tail starts wagging and she does her little happy dance. In her older age, she doesn't jump or anything like that, so I bring back the energy that she used to pour out to us and then give her a hug for a while. That's awesome. My two watch from the window when I go get the mail or put out the trash. Their excitement is less when they can see me the whole time, but they're still happy I'm back. :-D
