I had posted about the old girl behaving like she was down and out a couple weeks ago. She had her appointment today with the vet. Got some annual stuff done. The appointment was rescheduled because of the snow storms which was a bummer. Thankfully, she started eating again. A little more and a little more. She's moving around more too. The vet said she may have had some kind of virus. I took the smaller vehicle today and she couldn't get in by herself. She hasn't been able to get in the truck for a while now. She's big, but I can pick her up. It used to freak her out when I pick her up, like she couldn't believe she was being lifted off the ground. Kind of funny. She's cool about it now. No heartworms or parasites. They said her hearing being bad is normal and were surprised she can still hear at all. They're surprised she's even doing as well as she is because of her breed, size, and age. She's half nigger dog (American Bully) and is no less than 13 years old. Based on videos I found in a cloud account I took when she was a puppy, I think she's like 13 and 1/2. Her bark is barely there which makes me kind of sad. She barks, it just sounds like the bark of a really old dog. But she's still kicking. She's eating and moving around. She's still as sweet as ever. Every now and again she still does some zoomies which is adorable. Dogs are amazing. She's no exception. Every day I get to see her staring at me in the kitchen is a blessing.
