I've never ever heard of or seen a dog this big, I honestly wouldn't want to fuck with it if it was in protective mode, dogs don't scare me I've been around all sorts all of my life, that thing, that would scare me in certain circumstances.

Same here, I''ve never feared a dog, never seen one quite this big. Maybe 2/3 this big - and that dog could put his paws on my shoulders and look me in the eye (I'm 6'1").
Yes, biggest I've seen here in the UK are newfoundlands/st Bernards, the one I knew was around 12 stone and lived until 15 (that's very old for such a large dog). I have one that's a 41kg goldador (red lab cross golden retriever) many people consider him very big and powerful , he's a dwarf in comparison to these beasts, even a very large dog I know (don't know his breed but it's an obscure one) he is twice the size of my one goldador, he weighs as much again and is lovely but even he would pale in comparison to that beast.
