I believe my dads dog is 11 now. Large breed. Was black but is now gray. Sweet girl. But she’s slowing down and weighs too much. Dads gonna be super sad when the inevitable happens. For the most part, I wish dogs lived longer. Though I don’t know how that would affect the pet population. They’re just wonderful animals. So useful in so many ways. I don’t have a dog right now but will soon after a move coming up. I actually had a tech related visit at a private shelter today. It’s a small shelter with some rescues, a vet on duty and a little store. I saw several furry friends walking around. Made my day. They’re just great! (This opinion does not apply to tiny dogs that yap.)
