I have a poodle dachshund mix, she is a great dog. She was 2 when we got her. pad trained. We put pads on the patio, she never has an accident in the house. She will use the pad when it is raining, the yard when it is not. I groom her. She only issue is she gets anxious anytime someone uses the front door. I believe her previous owners left her alone during the day. We never do. We acquired her as a companion to my mutt who was a poodle terrier mix. He passed a year an a half ago. I miss him every day. He was my constant companion, smarter than any other dog we have owned. He enjoyed watching wheel of fortune. He would howl when they hit the bankrupt, initially because of the slide whistle sound, but I have video of him watching and howling when a contestant hits the bankrupt before they play the sound effect. I would drive him around the neighborhood so that he could do bark bys on all the neighborhood dogs. He knew our property line and would walk it and mark the line. He had a 40 or 50 word vocabulary that he understood. He liked to lay on my desk and watch videos. especially music. I surmise he was brighter than 65% of Poal users.

I used to watch a poodle used as a duck retriever in the duck blind across the lake from us. It would find the ducks and bring them back as well as a lab. Standard poodles are French hunting dogs.

Poodles were a German hunting breed and was bred for retrieving. Standard poodles are gorgeous highly intelligent dogs.

What worries me now is seeing neegroes in tv commercials with dogs like Labs, Golden retrievers, Border collies, etc. Niggers are vicious and destructive; I've lived around enough of them to see how cruel they are to dogs and cats and like to weaponize dogs

The dogs you see in commercials are not owned by the people in the commercials the trainer is usually out of frame waiting to see if anything needs to be corrected.

No nigger should ever be allowed to own any animal. They don't have the foresight, empathy or self-control to take care of an animal properly.

Labs are well-balanced emotionally. Poodles are highly-strung dogs. They have behavioral problems galore. I know this because my brother owned a poodle. It barked constantly. When it was left alone in the house, it peed or pooped on the floor deliberately to exact revenge. They are very smart dogs, but they are hyper, hyper, hyper. Plus, you need to take them to a dog groomer constantly. The hair grows inside their ears and needs to be ripped out by hand. Their coats never stop growing. I would never own a poodle. Too high-maintenance.

Poodles are all of those things you mentioned but they are popular because they're smart and loving. I would never own one myself either, but I can understand why people do.

To bad its not even an American Breed.

But hey if you need a dog to lick an intruder to death a lab maybe for you.
