I never wanted a dog. Didn't really like them. I ended up with one against my will years ago and it is one of the best things to have ever happened to me. Wish I had known sooner because I would have always had a doggie.

something similar happened to me, and I was paired with a half wolf, half german sheppard. this was years ago, when i thought that my life couldnt get any worse.. it was at that point that i realized that dogs really are man's best friend. cats are good too, but in a different way.

I'm 65 and have been privileged to have had the trust and companionship of dog throughout my life. These creatures are a gift. I love my dogs like they were my kids. The terrible thing about them is that dogs get 'better' as they get older and they have such short lives.
