Not me, but a friend reported good results fir enhancing mobility of her old dog.
I used some on my cat awhile back. It helped her
Go for it, much better than anything big pharma has to offer.
Pretty sure you'd need to get him real weed for that.
Remember that CBD is a homeopathic product. There might be quality evidence that CBD can treat certain symptoms, like seizures, but the absence of quality evidence does not stop people from trying to use it for whatever they want and then make outlandish claims about what it can treat. Your dog will not get any benefit from the placebo effect like humans do when they consume cbd for problems that it doesn't actually help.
As you probably know, dogs can't have THC. The university studies I've found so far were for epilepsy and joint mobility, but they do also have testimonials for anxiety and stress.
No I didn't know that. What about all the people blowing weed smoke at their dogs?
Testimonials are what is bullshit, it's just placebo effect in action.
I imagine that their intake of THC from blowing it at their face is minimal? It is essentially poisonous for dogs if consumed.
I think with something serious like seizures it's better to use proven medication rather than take a chance something like CBD. You could supplement the medication with CBD but I would not solely rely on it. Dogs can die from seizures.
I have, didn't bother with vet approved. Just gave him some of mine, dosed based on weight. Good results, especially when the neighbor bitches are in heat.
The vet approved stuff is really expensive, that's why I'm asking for people's experiences. Don't want to spend that kind of money for nothing. I haven't looked to see if there is a price difference for the human stuff. I definitely want to buy from a company that has their batches tested though to ensure potency.
I've had no problem with these guys, good product, great prices. Lab reports available, as well as pet specific stuff fwiw.
Thanks! I will check them out.
Now I'm really confused. Comparing your Lazarus Naturals with Elle Vet, similar product and size, the difference is $30 vs. $120 !!
"They" say not to go for the cheaper stuff because the filtration and "purity" of the more expensive stuff is higher quality, but crap that is a big price difference!
My last dog has seizures. He had his first at 7 years old and made it less than a year before I decided to put him down. It was likely a brain tumor, the seizures were getting far worse and more frequent. Such a horrible thing to witness for the first time especially if you don't know what's happening, I thought my little guy was choking to death. Anyway I read quite a bit about CBD oil but decided not to try it because I wanted to go with something proven even though I hated giving my dog medication. How old is your dog and when did he have his first seizure?
You misunderstand, that's why I asked for uses OTHER than seizures. He is not epileptic.
oh yeah I misread. CBD oil is used for a lot of things such as stress relief, muscle ache relief...... supporters of CBD oil pretty much claim it does everything.
Yes but it's cheaper to use corn oil and they are still just as slippery
Just absolutely make sure that the CBD oil does not have any THC in it. There are people selling CBD oil for dogs that has THC in it. You'll be getting your dog really high and that is abuse.
Many people don't feel abused if offered THC.
yeah and I had to follow the little fucker around with a baggy for three days, man.
