Got to make sure the dog breed is a fit for you as well, otherwise you could be walking into more work that you can handle. I've had since i was a kid, and recently came across a dog that was just unhappy living with me. He would be fine all week while i was at work then on my days off he would just act out. Destroying my house or saving his shit all day and letting it out at 2am when everyone was sleeping. I went out of my way to find him a home with other dogs, he seems to be much happier having other dogs around.
