A huge problem is that the free healthcare in the UK offers next to zero help other than prescribing one SSRI after another then just writing you off as untreatable after none of them work. I've been begging for help for over 5 years now and get absolutely nothing.

See that part genuinely fucks my shit up - I truly loathe being unable to find help :/ that, and the modern approach to treat mental illness by throwing drugs at it, the combo of these two problems along with everything else is just horrible :(
