Cool but I thought it would be cooler to gimbal the wheels which can be done way easier with electric motors than with axles.
Wasn't it the early 2000s when some SUVs were being sold that had slightly angling rear wheels to help with lane changes?

I know the mitsubishi 3000 GT (en.wikipedia.org) had real wheels that would turn a few degrees to assist w/ cornering.
