I'm not going to bat for the left, but let's be honest here -- what I call "monster trucks" (full-sized pickups) are a bit silly. The hoods of these things are higher than the roofs of cars. You'd need a six-foot step ladder just to brush the snow off them. They are toys for boys in men's bodies. Fifty years ago they didn't exist, and they were never needed. I'm not calling for a ban, I'm asking people to look at them and laugh, because they are ridiculous.

As a “monster truck” driver I’m going to have to halfway disagree. I regularly utilize the crew cab and 8’ bed. But then you got the guys with lift kits and mud tires on a truck so pristine you’d be surprised if they even drive it on gravel. They don’t even use the bed for fear of scuffing their line x cover. Fuck those guys.

Yeah same. I didn't realize how much I needed a truck until I had one. I've hauled so much shit with my 2500, I don't know how I got along without it. Also, I'm able to rent boats, rvs and tow shit. I have access to dirt roads and tons of shit most people can't do without a 4x4. And I have a big nigger grill on the front in case I get stuck in a democrat policy riot. These are the real reasons they want to get rid of trucks. They aren't saying jack shit about Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari etc that get even worse milage and are literally only used as toys and status symbols. And they really don't say jack shit about the mileage they get on their private jets. Like 50+ gallons an hour...

I used to be able to park my truck where my winch bumper touched my buddies windshield. I tow excavators, which you didn't have 50 years ago. I tow dump trailers you didn't have 50 years ago. I drive across three states in a matter of hours going speeds not achievable 50 years ago. Inorder to safely control and stop these bigger loads, the vehicle needs to be bigger.

I look at people like you and laugh at how much of what you take for granted is accomplished by people like me driving "ridiculous " trucks.

Part of the reason the hoods are so high is due to government regulations, it requires the hood to be so far above the engine for pedestrian safety.
