I like the complaining.

30 min - 90 min to a random 25-50% subset of the userbase. Where activation is random. So if there are 10 users 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and each of 1 2 3 and 4 are afflicted for up to 90 minutes, any time in the 60 minute window the affliction could wear off and one of 5 6 7 8 9 or 10 would become afflicted.

How about it just randomly happens every so often for an hour or two? You never know when it's going to strike.

Actually with the random subset of users it afflicts I like a shorter time period. 30m - 90m.
