I came across this video (invidio.us) on another site. I know nothing about cancer or fasting and therefore have no opinion. I am curious about any information others may have on this and thought it would be an interesting topic.

I realize cancer can be a triggering subject. So, before replying, please refer to rule #2.

In a way. Cancer is partly fueled by sugar. Sugar is contained within food. Fasting is a withholding of food and thus a withholding of sugar. Therefore fasting slows cancer growth.

So there's some truth in the ketosis state thing? I read a book a while ago called "The Zone" which talked a bit about this idea of keeping your blood sugar in the "sweet spot" and when on the diet I was sharper and trimmed up quite a bit.

I wonder if this is all related?

under ketosis your body will convert what it needs to "sugar", nothing more or less (its is why they recommend for diabetes i forget which type). there is still parts of you that need sugars. But it will also burn fat for energy... its more efficient than sugars

its like the cholesterol myth, your body makes all the cholesterol it needs, diet will never change it or come close to what you can produce. it is as vital to you as oxygen

thats a 3rd grade explanation

Thank you for that.
