Everyone always asks if the moon landing happened.
Not nearly enough people ask if the moon landing even mattered.
That some government may or may not have been able to send some jackoffs to some airless ball of dust that may or may not exist in order to do nothing of significance has no bearing on anyone's life whatsoever, and never did.
That said, do I believe that it was possible for them do have done so? Yeah, I suppose so - people are known for their great capacity for doing ill-advised shit with little regard for their own safety, after all, and I don't know how else to describe the process of sitting atop a large bomb and hoping that it explodes slowly enough so as to not kill you instantly.
Determining if they actually did, however, raises one key question. To elaborate: if we look at history, humans typically react to the opening of a new frontier by flocking their en masse to build their stupid, ugly houses all over the unspoiled landscape, thus spoiling it. I see no condominiums on the moon. Nobody has tried to sell me a timeshare there. Thus: If we went, why did we stop?
Personally, I'm still awaiting some good, solid proof that the moon is even a real place that one can really go to, and not a very convincing graphic cunningly painted onto the sky-dome. So I'm going to say "eh" in response to the first question.
Now, to rush through the rest of the questions, sloppily: 2 - By computing the truth using my brain, like all the great monkeys before me; 3 - I don't do non-absolute things anymore, not since the accident; and 4 - I don't buy that a glorified RC-car enthusiasts' club costs as much to run as they keep claiming it does.
