So what does the 1.5 billion gallons of water stolen represent to lake mead?

It represents enough water to supply 10,000 homes water for a year. Lake Mead is running dry currently. The water level already went below the intakes and they had to build new ones.

This goes to show that even when water becomes dangerously scarce, and the government is forcing homeowners to stop watering lawns and outlawing swimming pools, that they'll still let corporate donors waste it however they wish.

It's just another example of the disaster that's sure to follow when giving government power. That power will always be used to benefit the few.

Thanks for the analysis. Busy day at work for me to research it myself... Agree that it is indeed govt creating the crisis and getting rewarded for it.

It represents unsustainable resource utilization.
