It may still exist. Not sure how much undamaged, as Hama flash storage is of questionable quality to begin with.
He uses a hot air station with e-microscope and then an adapter for the memory chip with proper software (which might have a commercial licence), but still the problem might be with the storage chip itself.
You can try plugging it in a linux distro that won't mount it automatically, and then see if gnome disks can make an image.
