If someone you know needs to take it then you can minimize the damage buy supplementing your magnesium intake during and after taking it. Don't take magnesium at the exact same time of day as cipro because it will negate the effects. If you take cipro in the morning and evening then take a magnesium supplement in the afternoon and before bed. Despite this being a well proven way to minimize side effects, very few hospitals and doctors have updated their protocols to include supplemental magnesium. Further proving they don't follow the science and they don't practice evidence based medicine.
