To clarify: The trick here is the insertion of a false (controlled) opposition argument.

The main (propaganda) argument is you need to get vaxxed because covid is super serious and deadly.

A good counter argument to this would be along the lines of what Joe Rogan and Elon Musk discussed (dailystormer.su) back in May 2020 -- authorities are using bad data maliciously to create a scare for something that it not that serious.

Now, Rogan is backing away from this in favor of a new argument: ivermectin cures covid. However, implicit in this new counter-argument is the assumption that covid is super serious and deadly.

This is what controlled opposition is about. You have argument A (main propaganda line) vs argument C (controlled op line) as the only options in public discourse. Argument B has been suppressed through selective censorship, where possible, or drowned out by the controlled op argument. The controlled op line is allowed to exist, even though it throws up some objection to the main propaganda line, because it supports the underlying assumptions of the propaganda line ("covid is deadly!"). Meanwhile, people who support the original opposition argument still glom to this controlled one, because they aren't perceptive enough to see the underlying assumptions have changed.

Joe Rogan's new 'ivermectin' thing supports the vaxx propaganda, while appearing to be opposed. This is why Spotify paid 100 Million for access to his audience.

After all, you can still get vaxxed even if you think ivermectin works. Might as well since it's free and covid is super serious and deadly, yada yada. This, combined with various sticks and carrots, is how a lot of conservatives who just aren't tuned in (women, fats, boomers) are getting cowed into getting the vaxx despite their warranted reluctance.

Ivermectin appears to be more effective, about 70% of people respond to HCQ and zpack, Ivermectin is like 99% effective.

Also there is a supply issue in the developed world with HCQ, it's not available enough to treat everyone who wants a prophylactic or covid kit.

Btw I question why on earth would they promote ivermectin to fuck up sales of covid vaccines, doesn't make much sense, ivermectin is cheap as dirt Needless to mention the covidshot passports rendered useless since ivermectin works, and probably helps to reach herd immunity ultimately, herd immunity that works better than shitshots against variants, etc And what to say about the shitshots that fuck up your immune system rendering you dead or dependent on big pharma for the rest of your days now that they no longer are required...

I get that joe rogan is a turd for his anti white statement, but that's one thing, ivermectin is another, and I highly doubt that he's part of TPTB, he isn't that influencial, especially among right wing circles after his anti white statement

I'm with you, I get that flu disappeared but covid is real I know plenty of folks in healthcare it has been very little like the flu until "delta". Flu disappeared for the same reason it always does, lack of favorable conditions, fewer available hosts and boom reproductive rate falls below 1 and flu season comes to an end, lockdowns, and a focus on hygiene and disease prevention took a bug with an r0 under 2 and sank it below 1 before it could really take flight covid itself seems a little hardier just like the original SARS and it seems about as infectious.

Masks are now about psychological control and they are only marginally effective but when you are talking about a virus margins make the difference, 5% less spread could be the difference between a positive to neutral reproductive rate and a declining reproduction rate. You'd think our circle would understand that a reproduction rate under 1 means a declining population.
