Oh, I agree. They can’t “cancel” The Muppet Show because it’s a cash cow. So they opt to make money while shaming the audience for watching it.
It's a subliminal message. For the passive observer without sufficient theory of mind abilities to detect what's going on, they implicitly acknowledge that the world's standards have changed by watching the show, which happens to be the only thing more entertaining than any of the dreck they've put out lately.
This kind of stuff is why you find so many white people (real ones and not just Fellow White People) espousing anti-white views.
